The Power of Seeing Things Through

Over the weekend, I learned I have officially crossed into the top 10% of podcasts worldwide. That’s really exciting on the surface, but reaching the top 10% of podcasts is made possible by the fact that 90% of podcasts quit by episode 3.

The knowledge that I’m in the top 10% simply by not quitting is both reassuring and scary. I’m proud that I’ve got 12 episodes in the can by tomorrow, not counting bonus material. The genre I’ve chosen means that it’s like writing a 20-page term paper each week as I compile the scripts. It’s a tremendous amount of work, and I’m proud of the fact I haven’t quit.

It’s also a lesson I plan on passing down to my students-that sometimes rising to the top just means never giving up.
